1:1 Teaching Assistant - Swadlincote

Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning?

Simply Education is recruiting for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil at a primary school in Swadlincote, starting after the October half term.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can provide consistent, patient and individualised support to help a child engage positively with their education.

About the Role

Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team, you will provide tailored support throughout the school day.

You will help the pupil:

  • Engage with classroom learning
  • Develop confidence and independence
  • Follow routines and expectations
  • Manage challenges within the school environment
  • Develop positive relationships
  • Access activities alongside their peers

The successful candidate will be calm, consistent and able to adapt their approach according to the child's individual needs.

Previous experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable, although applications from candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
