Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant / Accounts Executive / Finance Executive to support financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure effective financial management across the organization. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial reports, monitoring transactions, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.

The successful candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing invoices, recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate general ledger entries. You will ensure financial records are complete, organized, and updated in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

The role involves preparing bank reconciliations, monitoring cash flow, processing payments, reviewing expense claims, managing fixed asset records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. You will assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, budget analyses, cash flow reports, and other financial documentation required for business operations and decision-making.

You will analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cost control initiatives, and profitability analysis while providing meaningful financial insights to management.

The position requires maintaining accounting documentation, supporting internal and external audits, preparing tax-related documentation, and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, internal controls, and corporate governance standards. You will work closely with finance, procurement, operations, human resources, external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth financial operations.

You will utilize accounting software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, spreadsheets, and financial reporting tools to manage accounting processes, generate reports, and improve operational efficiency. The role also includes identifying opportunities for automation, improving accounting workflows, strengthening financial controls, and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

You will safeguard confidential financial information, ensure the integrity of accounting records, and contribute to maintaining strong financial governance across the organization. Continuous learning, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy are essential to supporting informed business decisions and achieving long-term financial stability.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and bookkeeping practices.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and financial closing procedures.
  • Familiarity with financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, financial management platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cost analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Knowledge of tax documentation, statutory reporting, audit preparation, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks.
