font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">An <strong>Air Traffic Control Assistant (ATCA) </strong>role is varied, as the job title cover several different positions, including those in the Control Tower and Aeronautical Information Services (AIS).</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">The ATCA is responsible for maintaining 24-hour operational timing and providing support to the Duty Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO), ensuring that all aircraft receive safe, efficient, and effective service.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Additionally, the ATCA must ensure that all data and information related to AIS and Flight Planning are accurate and compliant with international civil aviation standards, in order to support the safety, regularity, and efficiency of air traffic operations.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #eb2d2e;">Key Accountabilities</span></p><p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;"><strong>Carry out procedures connected with the Briefing Room, including:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Managing, correcting, and disseminating flight plans and other flight-associated messages using the Comsoft Solutions Aeronautical Data Access System (CADAS).</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Obtaining information to meet the needs of the pre-flight and in-flight information services.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Sending Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) on behalf of the Airport Authority and disseminating them via Email or the Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network (AFTN).</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Coding and decoding incoming and outgoing NOTAMs.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Monitoring the validity of incoming and outgoing NOTAMs and maintaining a checklist.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Verifying and validating NOTAMs received from the originator.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Updating aeronautical information related to all OMSJ NOTAMs to all airport agencies via Email.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Liaising with the Tower to ensure all Air Traffic Control staff are aware of aircraft movements.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Updating Aeronautical Publications.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Answering telephones and intercoms, and processing essential information promptly and accurately.</span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;"><strong>Carry out procedures connected with the Air Traffic Control Tower, including:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Assisting the Duty ATCO when requested, especially during emergencies and low visibility operations.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Preparing flight progress strips and updating/managing flight plans (FPL).</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Liaising with Airport Operations regarding aircraft parking.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt; color: #46555f;">Providing flight data to the ATCO.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
