Job Overview:

As an Area Manager within Priority Banking at Emirates NBD, you will oversee a defined geographical area comprising multiple clusters. You will be responsible for the area’s overall profitability, including achieving budgeted business volumes and P&L targets. You will lead a team of 30–40 Relationship Managers and guide Unit Managers in delivering the required results.

Key Responsibilities: 

  •  Build strong relationships with priority clients, ensuring key customers are personally engaged and visited regularly.

  • Lead, coach and develop Unit Managers, Relationship Managers and Customer Service Representatives through regular performance reviews, on-the-job coaching and structured training.
  • Monitor Relationship Manager performance through financial and non-financial dashboards, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans tailored to each micro-market to achieve growth and revenue objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with operational risk, sales, credit, AML and KYC policies, escalating suspicious activity promptly and protecting the bank’s reputation.
  • Provide customer and market feedback to product teams to support competitive product development and service improvements.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, customer preferences, competitor activity and new products, while pursuing continuous professional development. 
Skills and Experience 
  •  Around 8 years of experience in the Banking industry across a wide range of Banking areas, e.g. Retail, wealth management
  • Strong business judgment and superior analytical abilities, particularly in financial analysis.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure; flexibility with last-minutes challenges/changes.
  • Ability to work comfortably with different cultures, backgrounds and skills
