Assistant Security Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Security Manager to support the Security Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day delivery of security operations across multiple client sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, supervising security personnel, and delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships. Key Responsibilities Operations Management - Support the Security Operations Manager in achieving departmental objectives and operational targets. - Supervise the day-to-day operations of security personnel across assigned sites. - Conduct regular and unannounced site inspections, including day and night visits, to ensure operational standards and compliance. - Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and escalate findings where required. - Plan and manage staff deployment, duty rosters, relievers, and emergency replacements. - Carry out site surveys, operational audits, and risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvement. - Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and other assets are used responsibly and maintained appropriately. - Monitor staff welfare and ensure all sites are equipped with the necessary facilities, including drinking water, shaded rest areas, and sanitary amenities. - Ensure company accommodation standards are maintained. - Lead, motivate, and mentor security personnel to achieve high performance. - Manage employee discipline in accordance with company policies. - Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback. - Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Encourage personal and professional development within the team. Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. - Conduct regular client meetings to review service performance and operational requirements. - Respond promptly to client enquiries and ensure all complaints are resolved within 24 hours. - Monitor service quality to ensure contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved. - Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication and service delivery. Administration - Prepare and submit accurate monthly operational reports. - Manage annual leave planning and staff administration. - Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding invoice follow-up and payment collections. - Ensure all operational documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time. Training & Compliance - Coordinate SIRA licensing and renewal requirements for security personnel. - Ensure all officers remain compliant with mandatory training and licensing regulations. - Organise and monitor in-house, on-site, and digital training programmes. - Promote continuous learning and operational best practice across the team. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance in this role will be assessed against the following key areas: - Operations Management (50%) – Maintaining high operational standards, ensuring compliance, managing deployments effectively, conducting site inspections, and driving continuous service improvement. - Client Relationship Management (15%) – Building strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, resolving complaints promptly, and consistently meeting contractual service levels. - Administration (15%) – Delivering accurate reports, maintaining operational documentation, coordinating leave planning, and ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently and on time. - Training & Compliance (10%) – Ensuring all security personnel remain compliant with SIRA requirements, coordinating mandatory training, and promoting continuous professional development. - Monthly Department Reporting (10%) – Preparing comprehensive monthly reports that accurately summarise operational performance, key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. Qualifications & Experience - Minimum 6–10 years’ experience in a similar security management role. - Proven experience supervising large security teams. - Strong understanding of UAE security industry standards and operational procedures. - Excellent leadership and people management skills. - Strong organisational and planning abilities. - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. - Customer-focused with excel
