Cargo Agent – Airport Ground Handling
About the roleAs a Cargo Agent at dnata you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end handling of air cargo at Dubai World Central (DWC). You will work closely with airlines, ground staff and government authorities to ensure that export and import shipments are processed accurately, safely and on time.Key responsibilitiesPerform cargo handling activities including acceptance, breakdown, build‑up, loading and unloading of ULDs and trucks.Prepare and verify cargo documentation, enter data into dnata cargo systems and ensure compliance with airline and regulatory procedures.Coordinate with customs, health, municipal and police authorities to facilitate smooth movement of cargo, courier and mail.Handle special cargo such as dangerous goods, live animals and valuable items in accordance with IATA manuals.Operate ground‑handling equipment such as tow trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently.Guide and support loaders and equipment operators, and report safety concerns to the shift team leader.Required profileHigh school certificate or relevant diploma.2‑4 years of experience in logistics or air cargo handling.Good written and spoken English communication skills.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment.Required skillsComputer literacy and proficiency with cargo management software.Operation of tow trucks and forklifts.Knowledge of IATA regulations for dangerous goods and special cargo.
