About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Category Buyer to manage and grow our Home, Kitchen Appliances, Electronics, Baby, IT & Gadgets categories. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the UAE wholesale market, experience in product sourcing, and the ability to identify profitable products and establish relationships with leading brands and suppliers in the UAE.

The role will focus on sourcing products locally, onboarding recognized brands, expanding our product portfolio, and improving category performance across all categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source new and trending products from UAE wholesale markets, distributors, and suppliers.
  • Identify profitable opportunities in Home, Kitchen, Appliances, Electronics, Baby, Smart Gadgets, and related categories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with UAE-based suppliers, wholesalers, and brand owners.
  • Onboard established brands and suppliers to expand our product catalogue.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor pricing, and product opportunities.
  • Manage product selection, assortment planning, and category growth strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for product listing, content, pricing, and inventory availability.
  • Recommend new products.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of UAE consumer buying trends.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Arabic + English language. (Arab nationals preferred)
  • 1–2 years of experience in category management, sourcing, purchasing, or buying roles.
  • Strong understanding of the UAE wholesale and retail market.
  • Existing contacts with suppliers, distributors, and brands in Home, Kitchen, Appliances, Electronics, Baby and Gadgets categories is an advantage.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify high-demand products and evaluate business potential.
  • Experience working in e-commerce procurement role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to pricing, margins, and product profitability.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in product sourcing from UAE markets such as Dubai wholesale markets, distributors, local brands, international brands and trading companies.
  • Knowledge of consumer electronics, smart home products, kitchen accessories, Pets and lifestyle products.
  • Experience onboarding brands or managing supplier relationships.
