Driver Development Specialist

<h3>Job Summary</h3> Responsible for developing and facilitiating driver training using a combination of classroom, driving simulation and practival driving for drivers and potential drivers. <h3>Accountabilities</h3> <strong>Operational</strong> <ul> <li>Act as an ambassador for Group Learning and Development for forging and maintaining positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Coach and be coached by fellow colleagues and team members</li> <li>Facilitate workshop and the development of action plans.</li> <li>Facilitate program logistics including venue arrangements, simulators, clinical and online theory tests</li> <li>As a team member, analyse training needs, design, develop and implement training courses in reaction to business needs.</li> <li>Facilitate training programs to a high standard, using adult learning and learner-focused techniques</li> <li>Demonstrate initiatives, a ‘can do’ attitude and a passion for learning</li> <li>Create solid professional relationships with management at all levels within the business.</li> <li>Design and develop training materials based on best practice of driver training methodology.</li> </ul> <strong>Training</strong> <ul> <li>Deliver and facilitate training programs to all front line staff dealing with Air Side driving to a world-class standard, using adult learning and learner focused techniques.</li> <li>Simulate scenarios to facilitate the learning process.</li> <li>Run classroom sessions; facilitate the online tests as well as the clinical tests to all drivers</li> <li>Utilize coaching techniques to improve employee performance based upon an agreed action plan</li> <li>Research and recommend program improvement.</li> </ul> <h3>About You</h3> <h3>Qualification</h3> <strong>Essential</strong> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent</li> <li>Possess a Qatar defensive driving certificate (Preferably from NSC – National Safety Council)</li> <li>Possess valid Qatar driver’s license.</li> </ul> <strong>Preferred</strong> <ul> <li>Formal certification as a driver trainer and/or assessor.</li> <li>Airside Vehicle Operator Permit at a major airport.</li> </ul> <h3>Experience</h3> <strong>Essential</strong> <ul> <li>Min. 5 years of experience in classroom training.</li> <li>Min. 5 years of experience in aviation particularly ground operations.</li> <li>Broad experience in driving in a restricted area.</li> </ul> <strong>Preferred</strong> <ul> <li>Experience as an airline trainer.</li> <li>Airside driver training experience.</li> <li>Airside vehicle operation experience.</li> <li>Airside radio communication experience.</li> </ul> <strong>Note: you will be required to attach the following</strong> <ul> <li>Resume / CV</li> <li>Copy of Driving License</li> <li>Copy of Highest Educational Certificate</li> </ul>
