The Role

We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Order Picker / Packing Assistant to support order fulfillment, product picking, packing, inventory handling, and shipment preparation.

The ideal candidate is organized, physically reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with order-management and inventory systems in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick products accurately according to customer orders, picking lists, and system instructions.
  • Verify product codes, descriptions, quantities, sizes, colors, and other order details before packing.
  • Pack customer orders securely and appropriately according to product type and company standards.
  • Inspect products for visible damage, defects, incorrect items, or packaging issues before shipment.
  • Print and apply shipping labels, invoices, packing slips, barcodes, and other required documentation.
  • Process orders using warehouse-management, e-commerce, inventory, or order-management systems.
  • Scan products and update order status accurately throughout the fulfillment process.
  • Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams when products are missing, damaged, misplaced, or unavailable.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting, labeling, shelving, and organizing incoming stock.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe packing and fulfillment work areas.
  • Support stock counts, cycle counts, inventory checks, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Prepare completed orders for courier collection and coordinate dispatch schedules where required.
  • Follow special packing instructions for fragile, high-value, temperature-sensitive, or promotional items where applicable.
  • Assist with returns, exchanges, damaged shipments, and product-replacement processes.
  • Monitor fulfillment deadlines and prioritize urgent, express, VIP, or time-sensitive orders.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, system errors, and operational issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate fulfillment records and ensure orders are processed according to company procedures.
  • Follow workplace safety, product-handling, packaging, and quality-control procedures.
  • Support continuous improvements in picking accuracy, packing efficiency, inventory organization, and order turnaround time.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse operations, order processing, retail logistics, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Previous experience with order picking, packing, inventory handling, or warehouse systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process multiple customer orders.
  • Good spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Comfortable using barcode scanners, handheld devices, inventory systems, computers, and basic warehouse technology.
  • Experience with WMS, ERP, e-commerce platforms, order-management systems, or inventory software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under fulfillment deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and move packages safely when the role requires on-site fulfillment activities.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills when coordinating with warehouse, inventory, customer-service, and delivery teams.
  • Dependable, punctual, responsible, and quality-focused approach.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and packaging instructions consistently.
  • Experience with Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, marketplace platforms, or similar e-commerce environments is advantageous.
  • Warehouse, logistics, inventory, e-commerce, or occupational-safety certifications are advantageous but not required.
