Elite Long-Form YouTube Editor Remote

Elite Long-Form YouTube Editor (Remote)
Seeking an elite long‑form YouTube editor to own performance‑driven storytelling and compound channel growth.
Role:
Contract (Long‑Term, Performance‑Owned)
Location:
Remote (Dubai - based preferred)
Reports to:
Head of Content (Diego)
Mission:
Own the creative execution and performance of long‑form YouTube videos that compound retention, trust, and subscriber growth for Matt Gray and FounderOS.
The Opportunity
FounderOS is building a media‑first operating system for elite founders who already operate at scale.
YouTube is the core distribution engine of that system, and long‑form video performance is non‑negotiable.
We're looking for an elite long‑form YouTube editor who does not think in terms of 'finished edits,' but in terms of retention, attention, and outcomes.
This role is for someone who understands how YouTube actually rewards content - someone who edits with pacing, psychological resets, and narrative flow in mind, while maintaining a refined, cinematic, lifestyle‑first aesthetic.
You will work directly with the Head of Content to execute videos that feel restrained, intentional, and premium, not hyper‑edited, sales‑driven, or gimmicky. This is a role for editors who believe taste is a competitive advantage and who want to grow inside a single, world‑class brand over the long term.
This is not a freelance gig.
This is a performance‑owned creative operator role.
You Are Perfect For This If…
You're the kind of editor who naturally thinks about retention curves, pacing, and viewer psychology while cutting.
You believe restraint is a skill, and that Apple‑level clarity and A24‑style cinematics outperform flashy edits.
You care about whether a video performs, not just whether it looks 'clean.'
You enjoy working inside a clearly defined brand and pushing quality higher within those constraints.
You are dependable to a fault, deadlines matter, feedback is applied cleanly, and trust compounds quickly.
You want a long‑term creative home where your systems, workflows, and taste can scale, not a revolving door of client work.
Responsibilities
You will own the creative execution and performance of the long‑form YouTube videos you edit.
You will be responsible for how long viewers stay, what they remember, and whether they subscribe. This includes editing with retention, average view duration, and overall view performance in mind.
You will work primarily on talking‑head YouTube videos supported by cinematic B‑roll and tasteful motion graphics, with opportunities to earn more complex formats over time. You will make intentional pacing, emphasis, and visual decisions that support attention, not distract.
Beyond editing, you will document and templatize workflows, animations, and systems that allow the team to scale quality consistently. You will actively participate in post‑production strategy conversations and contribute to improving how videos perform, not just how they're assembled.
You will not chase trends, over‑edit to prove effort, work in isolation, or disappear after delivery.
KPIs
Success in this role looks like consistent improvement or stabilization of retention curves relative to channel baselines, clear gains in average view duration over time, and zero aesthetic drift from FounderOS brand standards.
Edits are delivered on time, every time. Creative decisions are defended with logic, not ego. Systems are built once and reused. Trust and autonomy increase as performance compounds.
What Makes This Role Special
You get to create inside a brand that obsesses over taste, clarity, and long‑term value.
You will work directly with Diego, a high‑level creative director, and receive clear, actionable feedback.
You are not one of many editors, you are a core operator inside the FounderOS content engine.
Your work directly impacts channel growth, audience trust, and downstream business outcomes.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit a Loom video walking through…
past YouTube edits AND explaining why they performed and sharing their strategic thinking
why this role makes sense as a long‑term commitment for them
