The Fédération Internationale de la Jeunesse (International Youth Federation, IYF) is an international non-profit youth organization network. It is a global youth network advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience, and resources to empower young people across the world, working in over 50 countries and territories.

Responsibilities

  • Support the DPLS Chief in coordinating IYF's participation in global working groups
  • Analyze outcomes from IYF interventions to ensure operational dimensions are reflected in policy-making
  • Ensure relevant IYF actors are informed and consulted in discussions
  • Prepare periodic briefing notes and talking points for senior management
  • Recommend improvements for collaboration with member countries
  • Create roadmaps for mobilizing political will and policy developments
  • Build and maintain effective alliances with potential member countries and government institutions
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate inter-governmental discussions and negotiations
  • Support IYF membership processes and consultations
  • Represent IYF at formal meetings and informal consultations

Requirements

  • Experience in development cooperation, partnership mobilization, or international relations
  • Background in youth empowerment, youth studies, or communications
  • Ability to assist in strategic planning and results-based management
  • Excellent computer, internet, and social media skills
  • Strong oral and written communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to interact cordially with a diverse community
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in development, sport, or women empowerment
  • Experience working with youth-led organizations
