Home > Jobs > House Manager/Governess job (M/F) in Dubai, UAE A warm and welcoming European family is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Governess / House Manager to support the day-to-day running of their household and provide exceptional care for their three children.

Responsibilities Oversee the children's daily routines before and after school. Prepare the children for school each morning. Manage school drop-offs and pick-ups. Organise and supervise age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.

Arrange and coordinate playdates and extracurricular activities. Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour. Support homework and school projects where required. Establish and maintain healthy daily routines.

Provide emotional support and guidance to the children. Ensure the children's bedrooms, wardrobes and belongings remain organised. Prepare school bags, uniforms and activity equipment. Communicate with parents regarding the children's development, schedules and any concerns.

Provide attentive care during school holidays and when children are home.

Household Management

Manage the day-to-day operations of the residence. Ensure the home remains organised, presentable and running efficiently. Coordinate household schedules and family calendars. Oversee household inventories and supplies.

Organise grocery shopping and household purchases. Liaise with suppliers and contractors when required. Ensure children's clothing, school items and household essentials are stocked. Assist with planning family events, birthdays and special occasions.

Maintain household systems and routines. Driving & Logistics Drive the children safely to and from school and activities. Coordinate appointments and daily schedules. Ensure vehicles used for the children remain clean and ready.

Plan efficient daily routes and timings.

Staff Management

Supervise and coordinate household staff including: Driver Delegate daily duties and monitor performance. Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property. Coordinate staff schedules and leave where required. Promote a positive, respectful and professional working environment.

Family Support

Anticipate the family's needs before they arise. Provide flexibility with working hours when required. Travel with the family if requested. Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion. Build a trusted long-term relationship with the family.

Requirements Previous experience as a Governess, Nanny, House Manager or Family Assistant within a private household.

Experience working with UHNW or high-profile families preferred. Strong childcare background with excellent references. Confident managing multiple children of different ages.

Experience supporting energetic or neurodiverse children is highly advantageous. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong leadership abilities. Professional, calm and proactive personality. Highly flexible with changing schedules. Valid UAE driving licence. Confident driver with a clean driving record. Currently based in the UAE.

Fluent

English (additional languages are advantageous). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High level of discretion and confidentiality.

Work conditions Accommodation: Live-out, no accommodation provided Work Schedule: 5 days of work per week, with 2 days off
