The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex security projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating technology risks, and driving the successful delivery of information security programs aligned with business objectives. Detailed Job Description As an Information Security Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of cybersecurity and data protection projects across critical banking systems and technology platforms. Working closely with security architects, technology teams, risk management functions, business stakeholders, and external vendors, you will ensure security initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry regulations and standards. The role requires a strong blend of project management expertise, cybersecurity knowledge, stakeholder engagement, and risk management capabilities. You will play a key role in safeguarding enterprise assets, enhancing security controls, and supporting the organization’s overall cyber resilience strategy. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale security transformation programs within a highly regulated financial services environment. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end delivery of Information Security and Data Protection projects within the banking sector. - Manage project scope, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations. - Coordinate cybersecurity initiatives across infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, and business systems. - Ensure compliance with information security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards. - Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for technology and security risks. - Facilitate collaboration between security teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and project delivery teams. - Oversee security control implementation, remediation programs, and compliance initiatives. - Support cyber threat assessment activities and security architecture reviews. - Ensure security requirements are integrated into software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. - Track project performance and provide executive-level reporting and governance updates. - Manage technology and application risk controls throughout project execution. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across information security and data protection programs. - Support audit readiness activities and regulatory compliance assessments. Required Qualifications & Skills - Engineering Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. - Minimum 6 years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Data Protection Project Management within the BFSI sector. - Proven experience leading cybersecurity and information security projects in enterprise environments. - Strong understanding of application and technology security architecture principles. - Experience conducting cyber threat assessments and security risk evaluations. - Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) security requirements and secure development practices. - Strong understanding of firewalls, data protection technologies, vulnerability management, and application security. - Demonstrated expertise in technology risk management and application control frameworks. - In-depth knowledge of Information Security and Data Protection standards including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, UAE IAS, GDPR, and UAE Data Protection regulations. - Strong understanding of banking technology environments and financial services security requirements. - Ability to facilitate technical and business discussions across diverse stakeholder groups. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. - Strong verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities. - Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, JIRA, Asana, or similar project management platforms.
