Role Context

The Laboratory Technologist will support physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams by producing accurate, timely, and dependable diagnostic information used in clinical decision-making. Based at HealthHub Clinics in Marsa Plaza, the role contributes directly to patient assessment, treatment planning, disease monitoring, and preventive healthcare. Because the laboratory operates continuously, the position requires flexibility to work rotational shifts covering evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Maintaining dependable laboratory operations around the clock is central to ensuring clinicians receive the information they need without unnecessary delays.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic laboratory testing according to approved procedures and clinical requirements.
• Process specimens carefully and ensure testing workflows maintain accuracy, traceability, and patient safety.
• Review laboratory results for reliability before releasing information for clinical use.
• Operate laboratory analyzers, instruments, and supporting diagnostic equipment according to established procedures.
• Carry out equipment calibration, routine maintenance, performance checks, and basic troubleshooting when required.
• Escalate instrument faults, quality concerns, unusual findings, or testing discrepancies through the appropriate laboratory channels.
• Follow DHA requirements, internal laboratory procedures, infection prevention practices, and occupational safety standards.
• Maintain accurate testing records, quality documentation, equipment logs, and laboratory information.
• Protect patient confidentiality when handling specimens, reports, medical information, and laboratory data.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, laboratory colleagues, and other healthcare professionals when clarification or coordinated patient care is needed.
• Participate in internal quality control processes and initiatives designed to improve laboratory accuracy and service reliability.
• Support laboratory accreditation requirements through consistent documentation and compliance with approved standards.
• Follow specimen handling, storage, processing, and disposal requirements throughout the laboratory workflow.
• Contribute to a safe and organized laboratory environment during all assigned shifts.
• Maintain dependable turnaround times without compromising testing accuracy or clinical quality.

Ideal Profile

• Emirati national with a valid Family Book.
• Current DHA License as a Laboratory Technologist.
• Bachelor 's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Previous experience working within a clinical or diagnostic laboratory environment.
• Comfortable performing duties within a 24-hour rotational shift schedule.
• Willingness to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays when rostered.
• Strong attention to specimen identification, testing accuracy, documentation, and result integrity.
• Good understanding of laboratory safety and infection prevention requirements.
• Ability to follow standardized laboratory procedures consistently.
