Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with strong skills in contract drafting and legal document preparation. A key part of the role will also involve communicating with delinquent parties to attempt amicable settlements before pursuing litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and revise various types of contracts and legal documents.
  • Prepare settlement agreements, notices, and formal legal correspondence.
  • Contact delinquent parties to negotiate payment settlements and avoid litigation.
  • Maintain accurate records of communication and settlement efforts.
  • Assist senior lawyers with case preparation and legal research when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in legal drafting, especially contracts and settlements.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and debt collection processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and tactfully.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Knowledge of litigation processes related to debt recovery.
