Logistics Leader - Special Handling Network

The Logistics Leader will manage operational performance across Amazon s Special Handling Network supporting AMXL activities designed for products requiring specialized fulfillment transportation or delivery processes The role combines multi-site leadership operational governance compliance monitoring Lean improvement data analysis and people management The leader will work across multiple facilities and coordinate with internal teams external partners MENA Process Owners ACES and local Process Managers to maintain consistent operating standards By identifying performance patterns conducting detailed audits and converting operational data into improvement actions the Logistics Leader will help strengthen reliability efficiency safety and customer experience across the network Key ResponsibilitiesLead operational oversight across multiple AMXL Special Handling Network locations Manage and develop Area Managers Operations Supervisors and frontline operational teams Deploy continuous improvement standards across assigned sites in coordination with MENA Process Owners MENA ACES and local Process Managers Monitor site performance and identify operational gaps requiring corrective action Develop and implement improvements that strengthen productivity service quality and network consistency Conduct operational audits against established SOPs requirements restrictions and compliance standards Analyze audit results and translate findings into practical process improvement initiatives Track adherence to operational standards and ensure corrective actions are completed within appropriate timelines Train Logistics Supervisors and associates on operating practices procedures and compliance expectations Provide clear direction to teams when deviations from established norms are identified Maintain effective communication between internal Amazon teams and external stakeholders Protect business objectives confidentiality operational limits and information privacy when coordinating across stakeholder groups Consolidate data from multiple operational sources to identify trends recurring problems and improvement opportunities Evaluate current performance trends and anticipate potential future operational risks Use structured data analysis to support decision-making and prioritize interventions Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce inefficiencies and strengthen operational flow Support timely network launches by coordinating operational readiness with internal and external partners Monitor launch milestones and address issues that could affect scheduled implementation Maintain strong working relationships across sites leadership teams support functions and partner organizations Communicate operational risks promptly and provide clear recommendations for resolution Support strategic initiatives that improve network scalability customer experience and revenue-generating operations Maintain disciplined reporting and provide leadership visibility into operational performance compliance and improvement activity Work flexibly across different shifts work areas weekends nights and holidays when operational requirements demand it Candidates should have at least three years of experience managing employees and performance within an operational environment. A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required, although candidates with at least two years of Amazon full-time employee experience may also meet the relevant qualification criteria. The position is particularly suitable for professionals with experience in logistics, fulfillment, transportation, warehouse operations, specialty handling, multi-site management, or other high-volume operational environments. Strong analytical ability is important because the role requires detailed review of operational data, performance trends, compliance results, and recurring process issues.
