Manager, Creative Development and Production – UCAN Social

Netflix is hiring a Manager, Creative Development and Production for its UCAN Social team, based in Los Angeles, California. This role sits inside the social marketing department and owns the full creative production pipeline for title campaigns, from on-set content capture through post-production asset delivery across every major social platform. It is built for a producer with directing experience who has already worked inside the entertainment industry and knows how to move a creative idea from a pitch into finished content that actually performs.

About the Role

The UCAN Social team at Netflix drives fan conversation around the film and television slate, and this manager is the person responsible for making sure that content is actually produced at the level the titles demand. Day to day, that means briefing directors and editors, managing shoot logistics, overseeing post-production including graphics and music, and working alongside Title Marketing and the Photo and AV Studio to coordinate creative capture during production. The role covers the film slate primarily, with some flex into other verticals depending on the programming calendar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead creative development and end-to-end social content production for film slate title launches, from single-day shoots to quick-turn editorial packages.
  • Serve as the on-set lead during social content capture days, directing physical production and managing crew and vendor relationships in real time.
  • Partner with Netflix's Photo and AV Studio to build content strategy around episodic television and film productions already in active shooting.
  • Oversee the full post-production workflow including vendor selection, graphics, music licensing, and final asset lock across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Manage production budgets and communicate cost implications clearly to cross-functional partners throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Audit social content performance across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms, then adjust the creative slate based on what the data shows.

What You Bring

  • Eight or more years of production experience in entertainment or a closely adjacent field, with directing credits in the social or digital content space.
  • A portfolio of social-first creative work that has demonstrated measurable reach, sharing, or cultural traction.
  • Established relationships with production companies, directors, editors, and post-production vendors.
  • Deep platform knowledge across multi-channel distribution, with a clear understanding of what format and tone works natively on each platform.
  • Experience working directly with talent, talent representatives, showrunners, and agency partners inside a studio or streamer environment.

Why This Role

Netflix operates one of the largest feature film production slates of any studio or streamer in the world, which means the creative volume and variety here is genuinely difficult to match anywhere else in the industry. This Manager, Creative Development and Production role sits close enough to the titles themselves to build real relationships with filmmakers and talent, while still working inside a team that thinks seriously about social platform strategy. For a producer looking to grow inside a major streamer, the scope of this position is substantial.

If you are a creative producer ready to own the social content pipeline at scale, apply now for the Manager, Creative Development and Production role at Netflix.
