Job Summary

Duties

  • Deliver engaging online lessons in high school Math and ELA tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
  • Develop customized lesson plans and curriculum materials that align with state standards and student goals
  • Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools to create interactive, multimedia-rich lessons that enhance understanding
  • Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and discussions, providing constructive feedback to support growth
  • Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds, special education needs, and varying learning styles
  • Prepare students for standardized exams such as the SAT by providing targeted test preparation tutoring
  • Maintain clear communication with students and parents/guardians regarding progress, challenges, and next steps

Experience

  • Proven experience teaching or tutoring high school-level Math and English Language Arts (ELA) with a focus on engaging online instructions
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms, virtual classroom management, and digital assessment tools
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of science tutoring or early childhood education is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment
  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings is highly desirable
