Senior Design Engineer – Integrated Energy Systems

About the roleWe are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our international projects team and lead the design of integrated energy systems that combine solar PV, wind, battery storage, generators and smart controls.Key responsibilitiesDesign and optimise hybrid and renewable energy systems for grid‑connected, off‑grid and microgrid projects.Develop single‑line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, calculations, equipment specifications and bills of quantities (BoQs).Utilise tools such as PVsyst, HOMER Pro and AutoCAD for system modelling and design.Support technical proposals and project costing activities.Collaborate with customers, suppliers and project teams to deliver the right solution.Participate in site surveys, installation, testing and commissioning internationally when required.Required profileMinimum 4 years of relevant engineering design experience.Strong background in solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid energy solutions.Practical electrical design capability with experience in AutoCAD and energy‑modelling software.Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to turn concepts into workable on‑site solutions.Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally for project needs.Required skillsSolar PV designBattery Energy Storage System (BESS)Hybrid energy system integrationAutoCADPVsystHOMER ProElectrical designEnergy modelling
