Social Media Assistant & Editor (TikTok, agency work, beauty & fashion aesthetic) - Contract to Hire

AK-EXPERIENCE is a small, founder-led studio: Anastasiia runs strategy, sales, creative direction and client relationships herself, working with one CGI specialist and a flexible freelance network rather than a large in-house team. We need a part-time social media assistant and editor to keep TikTok posting at volume and take light day-to-day content admin off the Founder's plate: mining our existing content library (agency campaign work, work-in-progress, behind-the-scenes), turning it into short-form posts 3 times a day, and handling scheduling and comment or DM triage on TikTok.

The rhythm is simple: once a week, a short call with the Founder to align on which topics, projects or angles to focus on. From there, you work independently: pull from the content library, repurpose each topic into 3 to 4 different hooks or formats, and apply trending audio, on-screen copy and pacing to fit TikTok right now. You decide the specific cut, sound and format for each version.

Out of scope: client-facing communication, pricing or scope decisions, campaign concept development for client work, final creative sign-off. All of that stays with the Founder and Creative Director. Which topics get covered each week comes out of the weekly call; how each topic gets cut, formatted and sounded for TikTok is this role's call.

Deliverables and cadence

• Trial week: 3 to 5 TikTok posts, from one topic given on a kickoff call

• Ramp (weeks 2 to 4): building toward 3 posts/day, still from existing footage only

• Target (ongoing): 3 posts/day, repurposed from that week's topics

Plus one 20 to 30 minute content call with the Founder each week to align on that week's topics.

Each cut is a re-edit of existing footage, not a new shoot. You won't be asked to film anything.

What you'll get each week

• A weekly kickoff call with the Founder: which topics, projects or angles to focus on that week

• Access to the shared content library (campaign footage, WIP renders, screen recordings, behind-the-scenes clips), tagged by content type

• Full freedom to pick the trending audio, format and specific cut for each version, based on your own current TikTok trend research

• Reference examples for tone (case studies below)

You turn each week's topics into a working TikTok queue: 3 to 4 different hooks or formats per topic, enough volume to post 3 times a day. You're not expected to originate client campaign concepts, just find the sharpest way to make AK's own footage land on TikTok this week.

Output spec

• Format: 9:16, 15 to 45 seconds

• One clear takeaway per video, never vague thought leadership

• Trending audio synced to the cut, not just laid underneath

• Burned-in captions and a strong hook in the first 2 to 4 seconds

• Cut 2 to 5 seconds out of every draft before it's called done, including pauses before a new point, not just the tail

• No "viral" claims, no invented results, testimonials or stats in overlays or captions

• Never post the same cut or caption used on another platform

What we're screening for

• Active, current TikTok user who tracks trends, sounds and formats as they happen, not researched after the fact

• Strong aesthetic sense for fashion and beauty specifically: colour, typography and composition choices that read as premium, not generic template edits

• A portfolio with fast-cut, trend-native short-form work, not generic lifestyle or vlog editing

• Comfortable turning one piece of raw footage into several different repurposed cuts (different hook, different format) without needing a new brief each time

• Understands marketing or creative/agency content specifically: pacing built to earn attention in the first two seconds, not just polish

• CapCut or Premiere proficiency

• Async-friendly: works from a shared folder and a rough angle, doesn't need live direction on every cut
