<p>We are seeking a talented freelance<strong> Video Editor</strong> to support high-end commercial and brand content projects. This is a project-based opportunity with an immediate start and the potential for consistent work through the end of the year.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Start:</strong> Within 1–2 weeks</p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> Through year-end</p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Approximately 20–40 hours per week, varying by project workload</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Chicago preferred</p><p><strong>Rate:</strong> $70-80/hr.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>You will join a busy post-production team to support upcoming high-profile content projects. Initial work includes a 3–4 week production sprint beginning in mid-September, followed by another major project in October. Hours may increase as project needs grow, with the goal of keeping the selected editor engaged through year-end.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Edit high-end commercial, branded, and regulated-industry content from rough assembly through client-ready final delivery.</li><li>Create multi-format cutdowns, including :60, :30, :15, and social versions.</li><li>Collaborate closely with producers and the broader post-production team.</li><li>Support projects that may require familiarity with review and approval workflows in regulated industries.</li><li>Manage project-based workloads and shifting priorities while maintaining exceptional creative and technical standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>A strong reel demonstrating high-end commercial or brand editing work.</li><li>Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro experience; Premiere is required.</li><li>Experience taking edits from initial assembly through polished final delivery.</li><li>Ability to produce multiple cutdowns and platform-specific versions efficiently.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication in a fast-moving project environment.</li><li>Experience in pharma, healthcare, or another regulated industry is a plus, but not required.</li><li>Familiarity with medical, legal, or regulatory review processes is a bonus.</li><li>Sound mixing and color-correction experience is a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Additional Details</strong></p><ul><li>Work will be performed on a project basis, with hours flexing according to production needs.</li><li>Use of your own computer is preferred, if available.</li><li>Selected candidates will be asked to sign a standard NDA and disclose any active engagements with directly competing brands in regulated industries.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Interview Process:</strong> Expected to include one or two brief introductory calls</p>
