Xactimate Estimator for Water Damage Mitigation Claims – Ongoing Work

I own and operate Rapid Response Flood Restoration, a water damage mitigation company handling residential and commercial water losses. I am looking for a highly experienced Xactimate estimator with strong WATER MITIGATION experience to work with us on an ongoing basis.

This position is strictly for water damage mitigation — no reconstruction and no packout estimating.

I need someone who understands the entire water mitigation process, not simply someone who knows how to enter line items into Xactimate. You must understand professional structural drying, moisture documentation, equipment calculations, demolition, cleaning, monitoring, and the documentation required to support an insurance water damage claim.

Responsibilities will include:

• Writing complete and detailed Xactimate water mitigation estimates

• Reviewing job photos, notes, measurements, moisture readings, and supporting documentation

• Creating professional drying logs from the field information and moisture readings we provide

• Properly documenting daily moisture readings and drying progress

• Understanding appropriate air mover, dehumidifier, and air scrubber usage

• Understanding equipment setup, monitoring, manipulation, and removal

• Identifying appropriate demolition and removal line items based on documented conditions

• Including legitimate cleaning, HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial, containment, debris handling, labor, and other mitigation procedures when supported by the documentation

• Reviewing each loss for legitimate Xactimate line items that may otherwise be overlooked

• Producing detailed, professional estimates and documentation that can withstand review by insurance adjusters

You must have substantial experience with WATER MITIGATION claims and understand how U.S. property insurance carriers and adjusters review mitigation estimates and drying documentation.

I am NOT looking for someone who simply enters whatever line items I tell them to enter. I need someone experienced enough to review the entire job, understand what occurred, identify what should legitimately be documented and billed, and tell me if something is missing.

This is intended to be an ongoing working relationship. As water damage jobs are completed, I need to be able to send you the job documentation and have you handle the Xactimate estimate and drying documentation accurately and with reliable turnaround.

Please provide examples of water mitigation Xactimate estimates AND drying logs you have previously prepared. All customer-identifying information may be removed or redacted.
