Functional Pathways, a therapist-owned organization with over 30 years of experience in senior care, is looking for an experienced Verification/Authorization Specialist to join our corporate team. This full-time role ensures seamless insurance verification and authorization for therapy services.
What You’ll Do:
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for therapy services.
- Contact insurance carriers to confirm patient eligibility and benefit details.
- Accurately document communication and update patient records.
- Explain coverage information to patients and providers as needed.
- Ensure proper use of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding when applicable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or authorization preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
