Player Insights Analyst — Interactive Entertainment
- Part-time · Remote · 10–15 hours/week
- We are a stealth startup building multi-agent simulation entertainment.
- We have tens of thousands of users, scaling fast, with very long session times
- Our mission is to make life simulation a new entertainment medium.
- Netflix made entertainment passive consumption. We believe the next medium will be active participation: living inside evolving worlds, influencing what happens, and creating stories no writer planned.
- You will study how people actually experience pur platform.
- You will combine session recordings, behavioral data, and product intuition to find where people become curious, confused, bored, attached, or absorbed.
- Your job is not to produce dashboards. It is to identify the few changes that would most improve the experience.
- Watch and analyze player session recordings
- Study funnels, retention, cohorts, and session patterns
- Find recurring moments of friction, delight, and abandonment
- Investigate how people interact with the simulation
- Separate isolated anecdotes from meaningful behavioral patterns
- Recommend clear, prioritized product changes
- Measure whether shipped changes improved behavior
- Improve our analytics events and instrumentation
- Share a concise weekly player-insights brief
- Curiosity about simulation, AI agents, emergent stories, or virtual worlds
- Good product, game-design instincts & taste
- Experience in game analytics, product analytics, player research, or games UX research
- Strong understanding of retention, engagement, funnels, and behavioral cohorts
- Experience with PostHog or similar tools
- Working SQL & MongoDB
- Experience analyzing session recordings
- The ability to turn messy evidence into simple decisions
- Where are people losing interest?
- What do they misunderstand?
- Which moments create emotional attachment?
- What behavior predicts that someone will return?
- What is the single highest-leverage change we should make next?
